A Majestic Theatrical Transformation
In 2022, Scenic Solutions collaborated with the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts to bring Disney’s Beauty and the Beast to life.
Our team delivered a visually stunning, large-scale scenic environment—featuring soaring set pieces, refined metalwork, and immersive textures that captivated audiences.
Towering Scenery & Custom Fabrication
Multi-Level Architecture
We engineered and fabricated two 33-foot towers, creating a dramatic vertical presence on stage. To reduce weight and ensure structural integrity, these towers were constructed primarily from aluminum.
Intricate Metal Details
Custom CNC-plasma-cut railing swirls, shaped with precision using sheet metal rollers and welded exactly to match each column, added ornate elegance to the castle aesthetic.
Lightweight Spiral Staircases
Our team built two aluminum spiral staircases that balanced visual grandeur with practical mobility—perfect for seamless scene transitions.
Scenic Finishes & Prop Integration
- Drapery & Textiles: We installed luxurious tattered draperies, header swags, and stage curtains, all treated with scenic painting techniques for authenticity.
- Refurbished Pre-Built Elements: Belle’s cottage, sconces, candelabra, a well, and a working wood-chopping invention—originally provided by the client—were restored and seamlessly integrated into the set.
