  • Six drops, five portals, eight sliders, four pairs of legs, two painted scrims, and one hard wall and header.
  • A Christmas tree decorated with 1,973 LED nodes and 60 LED candles
  • Four pairs of snow legs, each with distinct on-stage profiles, kept taut by hook-and-loop tape stitched to the fabric and securely fastened to aluminum and plywood frames.
  • Twelve scenery wagons including, Drosselmeyer’s workshop, a large door unit, a regular sized fireplace, an extra-large fireplace, an extra-large castle, a clown cart, a sweets machine, and a large hat (hot) air balloon.

A Whimsical Reimagining of a Classic Ballet

Scenic Solutions brought The Nutcracker: Drosselmeyer’s Imaginarium to life with a vibrant array of expertly crafted scenic elements that offered a fresh twist on the beloved holiday tradition. This production called for more than festive backdrops—it demanded a fully immersive environment that could transport audiences into a magical, dreamlike world.

Custom Scenic Fabrication for Live Ballet Performance

With multiple acts and elaborate dance sequences, the scenic elements had to be as functional as they were visually striking. Scenic Solutions custom-fabricated components that allowed for seamless transitions, safe movement, and striking stage presence.

The Nutcracker is an annual event, and this set was built to last several years with efficient warehouse storage in mind.
