Delivering a Bold, Branded Stage for Thousands of Attendees
Scenic Solutions was selected to support the Hillsong Conference 2015 with custom scenic fabrication that reflected the conference’s global scale and powerful spiritual messaging. Held in a large indoor arena, the event brought together thousands of worshippers for an immersive experience centered on faith, music, and community. The scenic design played a key role in shaping that experience—both visually and emotionally.
Large-Scale Scenic Elements with Strong Visual Identity
A Dynamic Visual Stage Environment
The stage needed to make a lasting impression while functioning across multiple sessions and musical performances:
- LED-embedded arches sweep over the stage with openings ranging from 33’ to 89’
- The 48’x60’ stage included 2 sunken orchestra pits and a 30’ semi-circular down stage extension reaching out to the audience
- A circular catwalk swooping out from the front of the stage into the audience
Functional Design for Lighting and Sightlines
Given the size of the venue and the energy of the programming, every scenic element had to work in harmony with lighting design and camera angles:
- Scenic pieces were spaced and positioned for maximum visibility from all seating zones
- Materials were chosen to minimize glare and reflectivity under intense lighting conditions
- Constructed to withstand transport, installation, and multiple uses across the event schedule
Supporting Worship Through Visual Storytelling
The scenic build reinforced the message of the conference, offering attendees a visual anchor that tied directly into the theme of spiritual expression. Whether viewed from the front row or the upper levels of the arena, the set delivered clarity, boldness, and purpose.
