The lighting positions and circuits in Hangar One urgently needed upgrading to properly illuminate the artifacts. Ensuring the safety of both visitors and the thirty-nine immovable historic planes displayed on and above the floor was paramount.
- All crew were required to complete mobile elevating work platform training and safety training specific to the project prior to being on site.
- Old lighting positions were removed.
- Six 240-feet raceway systems were installed.
- Each raceway included one data and three power circuits repeating every forty feet.
- Each power circuit included servo control.
- New lighting fixture trusses were installed.
- Scenic Solutions completed the installation ahead of schedule, within the budget, with no damage to artifacts or injuries to people on site.
