STAKEHOLDERS: The Ohio State University; The Department of Theatre, Film, and Media Arts; and The School of Music.
A multi-year project that established a vibrant campus Arts District, uniting the community through the arts while providing world-class facilities for the students and teachers of the School of Music and the Department of Theatre, Film, and Media Arts.
THE DEPARTMENT OF THEATRE, FILM, AND MEDIA ARTS:
- Design and installation of a new, state-of-the-art ETC lighting system and Vortec hoist fly system for the Proscenium Theatre and the Black Box Theatre.
- Procurement and installation of a new orchestra pit cover and net.
- Redesign and installation of an upgrade to rehearsal hall lighting.
- Installation of a specialized costume storage room.
- Additions to the Sound Stage including green screen technology, draperies and stage lighting.
- Installation of a new Light Lab giving students the opportunity to experiment with luminaires and learn about lighting design.
THE SCHOOL OF MUSIC:
- Upgrade to the existing lighting system in Weigel Recital Hall.
- Design and installation of a new fly system in Weigel Recital Hall.
- Procurement and installation of new orchestra equipment including musicians’ lockers, choral risers and draperies.
- Installation of upgrades to the lighting system in the Ensemble Rehearsal Hall.
