Revitalizing a Historic Landmark with Versatile Architectural Lighting
In 2021, Scenic Solutions collaborated with Cross Street Partners to integrate a high-impact lighting system into the iconic Dayton Arcade Rotunda, transforming this landmark into a versatile destination event space. Designed to accentuate architectural detail and support varied rental functions, the system adds aesthetic and practical value to one of Dayton’s most historic venues.
Engineered Lighting Systems Tailored to The Venue
Structural & Fixture Implementation
- A 33-foot diameter, 16-inch-box truss was installed, suspended over 50 feet in the air from six permanent anchors—providing robust support for lighting fixtures while preserving the integrity of the rotunda.
- The system includes ETC LED fixtures with pre-programmed looks, enabling dynamic lighting scenes for daytime, holidays, weddings, and special events.
- Added accent lighting targets 16 historic plaster turkey sculptures
- Integrated ambient sconce lighting to highlight architectural detail.
